DNB Fund Nordic Small Cap

Invest in the Nordics’ Rising Stars
Nordic small companies offer a high level of innovation and strong growth potential. The region is characterised by stable framework conditions, a high level of education and forward-looking business environments. The Nordic countries have a solid foothold in digitalisation, green technology and social trust, which together provide good growth conditions for smaller companies with global potential. This gives investors access to companies with both competitive advantages and sustainable business models.
The fund invests in small and medium-sized companies from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland, and provides broad exposure to sectors such as technology, industry, real estate and healthcare. Many of the companies are specialized niche players with a high ability to innovate and a strong entrepreneurial culture. The fund follows clear sustainability criteria and excludes fossil energy, tobacco and weapons, among other things. The result is an actively managed portfolio with a focus on growth companies operating in a region characterized by stability, high ESG standards and long-term value creation.
The actively managed equity fund invests in over 100 small and medium-sized companies from across the Nordic region, spread across four currencies and ten sectors. The fund focuses on companies with attractive growth potential and sustainable business models, often in niche markets that are less analysed and thus offer opportunities for value creation through active management.
The stock selection is based on four pillars: identifying trends, value creation with a focus on capital allocation, the company's earnings momentum, and medium to long-term valuation.
Main investment areas: Media and entertainment, Software and digital services, Capital goods, Commercial services and consultancy, Property management and development.
